PETA India has written to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, requesting the renaming of South Mumbai’s Mutton Street to ‘Ahimsa Marg’ in honor of Mahatma Gandhi, a staunch vegetarian. They also propose encouraging vegan businesses to align with Gandhi’s values of non-violence and compassion towards animals.
