Tata Play has begun removing Sony Pictures Network India (SPNI) channels from its packages, citing declining viewership. SPNI opposed the decision, calling it retaliatory and linked to their audit request of Tata Play’s subscriber management system. Tata Play CEO Harit Nagpal stated subscribers could re-add channels for an additional fee, with many benefitting from reduced charges.
