On World Suicide Prevention Day, loco pilot Arun Kumar saved a teenage girl attempting suicide by lying on railway tracks near Chakia station. He applied the emergency brake and sought local help to remove her from danger. The girl was distraught and repeatedly expressed her wish to die without providing a reason.
