Mehbooba Mufti, PDP chief, announced that her party would contest the upcoming J&K assembly elections for dignity and permanent resolution, not statehood or seat sharing. She emphasized solving the issue of Jammu and Kashmir and pushed for the restoration of trade with Pakistan. Mufti also announced several social security commitments in the party’s manifesto.
