Taiyuan, Oct 31 (Inditop.com) At least 13 people were killed and 41 injured in a road accident in the northern Chinese province of Shanxi, Xinhua reported Saturday.
The accident occurred at 3.50 p.m. (local time) Friday, when a bus with 54 people on board was on its way from Hebei province to Taiyuan, the capital city of Shanxi, plunged into a valley while negotiating a curve on a mountainous road in Yangquan city.
Ten passengers were killed on the spot, while three others died on their way to hospital.
Forty-one people, including the driver, were injured and receiving medical treatment, the report added.
An official from the publicity department of Yangquan said three of the injured were described to be “in critical condition” and six others were seriously injured.
The bus from a tourism agency was hired by a company, Jinwanxia healthcare products, of Taiyuan and was taking the company’s customers to Taiyuan on a rewarding tour.
