London, April 29 (IANS) At least 15 people were killed Sunday in a gun and bomb attack at a university in Nigeria’s northern city of Kano, BBC reported.

Bodies were seen lying around Bayero University campus where Christian worshippers were holding a service.
The attack took place in a lecture theatre used as a place of worship by Christians.

A bomb squad and military units have launched a search for the gunmen.
No group claimed responsibility for the attack, but Islamist outfit Boko Haram group is active in Kano.
