Beijing, Jan 11 (IANS) At least 16 people were killed Friday when a landslide buried a small village in China’s Yunnan province, China Daily reported.

Officials said the landslide occurred in Gaopo village.
The village has 16 families comprising 67 residents. Every house in the village was destroyed, and at least 37 people were still unaccounted for, possibly trapped by the landslide, officials said.
The disaster site is adjacent to Yiliang, where 18 primary school students were killed in a landslide in October last year.
