Rabat, Nov 30 (IANS) At least 24 people were killed in Morocco Tuesday when the bus in which they were travelling swerved off the road and plunged into a ravine amid heavy rain, a media report said.
The incident occurred between Casablanca and Bouznika towns, Xinhua reported citing state-run MAP news agency.
Rescue and search operations were underway, officials said.
Morocco’s King Mohammed VI offered his condolences to the families of the victims, saying he would pay for the burial of those killed and the hospitalisation of the injured.
