Mexico City, June 2 (IANS/EFE) At least 40 bodies, including that of a prison warden, were found in a mass grave in Mexico’s Guerrero state, the state attorney general’s office said.
The body of Daniel Bravo Mota, 53, warden of Iguala prison, was identified after forensic tests, spokesman Albertico Guinto said Tuesday, adding that the mass grave, an abandoned mine shaft, was found near Taxco city.
Mota was kidnapped last month along with prison psychologist Ignacio Suastegui Perez by a group of heavily armed men.
A suspect arrested in an army operation confessed that he participated in Mota’s kidnapping and that the bodies of both Mota and Perez were thrown into the pit, Guerrero deputy prisons chief Angel Garcia said.
