London, Dec 23 (IANS) English singer Adele has reportedly trademarked her name to ensure that no brand of perfume or jewellery uses it for promotion.

The 24-year-old has filed an application with the country’s Intellectual Property Office, reports thesun.co.uk.
“She doesn’t want anyone exploiting her name by using it on products which may trick punters into thinking she’s involved with it,” a source said.
A trademark would mean Adele could take legal action against anyone who uses her name to market a product she has not approved, such as perfume or jewellery.
