Dhaka, July 3 (IANS) Bangladesh’s main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its allies Sunday called for a 48-hour countrywide strike from July 6, Xinhua reported.
The strike-call was given in protest against the government’s move to annul the non- party caretaker government system and recent share market scandal.
The BNP and its key allies, including Jamaat-e-Islami, separately announced the 48-hour stir will begin at 6 a.m. time July 6.
