London, June 30 (IANS) A house in Britain with only four rooms has sold for a meagre price of 10,000 pounds.

The house with two rooms on the first floor and two on the ground floor was sold to a developer 5,000 pounds below the actual asking price.

The house is on Pritchard Street in Burnley, Lancashire, the Daily Express reported.

Real estate agent John Dinsdale said: ‘Three years ago you couldn’t get a house in Burnley for less than 35,000 pounds because everyone was buying property. Now it has gone the other way.’

‘However, I think the price paid here is about as low as you can go,’ he said.

A survey by property website Mouseprice has also found that 12 of the 20 cheapest streets in Britain are in Burnley.

But Pritchard Street is not at the bottom of the list. Angle Street nearby has the lowest property value in Britain with 32,400 pounds.
