Los Angeles, Nov 7 (IANS) Singer Cher will undergo a surgery to fix a fracture on her foot that she suffered 16 years ago.

She recently went on micro-blogging website Twitter to share with her fans that she suffered a compound fracture in the late 1990s when a piece of equipment fell off the wall of her rehearsal studio and “crushed” her foot.
The 67-year-old admits it troubles her every time she wears high heels. But she is finally hoping to resolve the issue after the surgery, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
She was last seen wearing stilettos Monday when she came out for an appearance as a guest judge on a tribute episode of US reality show “Dancing With the Stars”.
She has now revealed that she will have to hold on wearing heels again until Christmas.
“Last night, was last night to wear heels till after operation…so…I bit the bullet and wore them…Heaven and pain, but worth it…six weeks till I’m running around on stilettos(sic)!” she tweeted on Tuesday.
