London, May 26 (IANS) Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole has filed for divorce from husband Ashley Cole, says a report.
Cheryl’s lawyers have filed papers at London’s High Court, citing ‘unreasonable behaviour’ and also claiming that when she ‘put it to him that he had been unfaithful,’ he did not deny it, reports dailystar.co.uk.
The singer has apparently refused to take any kind of financial settlement from the footballer and has allowed him to stay in their 6 million pounds mansion.
According to sources, Cheryl wants the divorce finalised before Ashley leaves for the World Cup in South Africa next month.
