Beijing, May 31 (IANS) China has forbidden all its military personnel from socialising on internet, viewing it as a threat to the integrity of its military secrets, the China Daily quoted the PLA Daily as reporting.

The People’s Liberation Army’s headquarters of the General Staff and the general political department have jointly issued the decree banning soldiers from making friends, blogging, marriage-seeking and job-hunting on internet.

Online socialising had a bad effect on soldiers’ lives and drills, and military secrets may leak out through internet, the paper stated.
