Islamabad, Jan 3 (IANS) Pakistan’s time-tested friendship with China was a source of strength and important factor for stability and peace in the region, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani said Tuesday.
The prime minister, while making a presentation titled ‘National Security Papers’ at the National Defence University in the capital, said strategic relations with China were important for Pakistan.
‘China is our closest friend and most reliable partner. The level of trust and confidence between our two countries has no parallel. Our time-tested friendship and robust partnership with China is not only a source of strength but also an important factor of stability and peace in our region,’ Gilani was quoted as saying by Online news agency.
Both Pakistan and China were committed to further strengthening their relations in all domains, and to give greater content to mutually-beneficial economic and technological cooperation, he said.
