Beijing, Dec 29 (IANS) A court in central China’s Hunan province Thursday ordered the execution of a man who set off explosives at a tax office last year, killing four people and injuring 17.

Liu Zhuiheng, 52, was convicted and sentenced to death in December 2010 for detonating explosives outside a third-floor meeting room of the tax office in the Furong district of the provincial capital Changsha July 30.

His actions were his way of venting anger over his business losses, reported Xinhua.

Liu fled after the blast, but was caught about 500 km from Changsha Aug 8.

Two others, Li Xiao and Liu Jian, who helped Liu buy explosives and detonators, were sentenced to seven years in jail.
