Beijing, Dec 25 (IANS) A court in Shanghai has ordered a pimp to pay a man around $5,000 for assaulting him with a knife when he refused to accept two prostitutes, saying neither of them was attractive.
The victim, Wu Qiang, in his 20s, read an advertisement and called for a prostitute for 500 yuan. When the girl arrived, Wu was very dissatisfied, the Shanghai Daily reported.
The court heard that Wu bargained with the 21-year-old pimp for a second prostitute for 600 yuan. But he rejected her too.
The man told the court he thought the girl “would be a beauty like the one on the ad”.
The second woman called the pimp and said the man refused to pay her or give her taxi fare.
The pimp, thinking that the man had had sex with the prostitute, slashed him in the chest with a knife. The pimp was sentenced to eight months in prison and ordered to pay $4,800.
