Dortmund (Germany), March 30 (IANS) The Chinese women’s side entered the semifinals of the World Team Table Tennis Championships with a 3-0 victory against Poland here Friday.
Chinese aces Ding Ning, Li Xiaoxia, and Guo Yue overwhelmed their rivals without losing a set. Ding beat Natalia Partyka 11-6, 11-5, 11-3; Li Xiaoxia defeated Katarzyna Grzybowska 11-5, 11-9, 11-8; while Guo Yue beat Li Qian 11-7, 11-3, 11-3.
“We have made good preparations for the Poland match and I think I have played well in the first match,” Ding was quoted as saying by Xinhua.
China will face either Hong Kong or the Netherlands in the semifinals Saturday.
