London, May 2 (IANS) American actor Chace Crawford who was arrested last year for drug possession has struck a deal with prosecutors to make a fresh start.

Crawford, has agreed to a ‘pretrial diversion program’, according to which if he meets certain conditions in the next 12 months than the case will be dismissed and there will be no criminal record, reports TMZ.com.

Under the conditions, the actor must not engage in any criminal behaviour for the next 12 months. He also must complete 24 hours of community service and report to a probation officer once a month.

The 25-year-old was arrested in Texas last year after police found an unlit marijuana joint on the actor during a body search.
