Berlin, Sep 2 (IANS) Borussia Dortmund wrapped up the fourth win in as many games thanks to Henrikh Mkhitarayan’s brace, while Vedad Ibisevic scored a hat-trick to hand Stuttgart an emphatic first win in the German Bundesliga.
Juergen Klopp’s men edged Frankfurt 2-1 in a see-saw match Sunday thanks to two goals by Mkhitarayan. Thus, Dortmund extend their winning streak to four matches to remain the only unbeaten team in the league, reports Xinhua.
“I think we deserved a draw. We played a good game but now we stand there without points, that bothers me as a coach,” Frankfurt coach Armin Veh said.
Elsewhere, Stuttgart stopped their negative run of three consecutive defeats to grab the first points of the season at the Bundesliga debut of new coach Thomas Schneider. Hoffenheim had no answer to the 2-6 away beating in front of 42,450 spectators at the Mercedes Benz Arena.
The Bundesliga takes a break for two weeks owing to the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
