Dubai, Sep 2 (IANS/WAM) Dubai’s driving licensing department has launched a project in which tablet computers are being given to the authority’s inspectors to test trainee drivers in the city.

“The move will help inspectors gauge errors committed by trainees during the test in a very accurate and clear manner rather than the old handwriting method on paper,” said Sultan Al Marzouqi, director of driver licensing at the Road Transport Authority.
“These tablet computers can calculate all errors, and once they are connected to the internet, they are directly linked to the electronic traffic system and show the final result of the trainees, as well as the possibility of trainees receiving the result printed in arabic and english,” he added.
