Kiev, July 5 (IANS) Ukrainian football club Dynamo Kiev has signed Portugal midfielder Miguel Veloso from Italy’s Genoa.
“We bought a good player of excellent age, who has a decent experience,” the club said its website Thursday.
The 26-year-old Veloso, who helped Portugal advance to Euro 2012 semi-final, will play for Dynamo on a four-year contract, Xinhua reported.
Dynamo’s coach Yury Semin said the transfer will help boost competition in the team.
Details regarding the transfer fee was undisclosed but local media estimated the deal value at $8-12 million.
The Ukrainian club has already brought in another midfielder Niko Kranjar from Tottenham Hotspur on a four-year contract.
