Islamabad, July 1 (IANS) Intelligence sharing among Pakistan’s law enforcement agencies

needs to be be enhanced, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani has said.

Gilani told the new Secretary Interior, Khawaja Siddique Akber, Thursday that the interior ministry has significant responsibility in this regard.

The prime minister spoke of the need for better coordination among the federal and provincial security agencies as well as capacity building through improved training programmes to meet the security challenges, reported Associated Press of Pakistan.

Pakistan has been hit by a string of terror strikes, specially after the May 2 killing of Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden by US commandos in Abbottabad.
