Beirut, Feb 2 (IANS) At least five people were killed and 18 injured in a suicide car bombing attack in a Lebanese town Saturday.
The attack occurred in the evening when the bombing hit a gas station in Bekaa town of Lebanon’s Beqaa governorate. Al Qaeda linked Al Nusra Front claimed responsibility for the Saturday’s attack along with a number of other recent attacks which targeted Shiite populated areas, Xinhua reported
Lebanon’s caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned the bombing and called for “national unity to protect our country and our people”.
