Beijing, Jan 31 (IANS) Dense fog Tuesday delayed 35 flights in central China, leaving some 3,000 passengers stranded, the authorities said.
Thick fog blanketed the Changsha Huanghua International Airport, reducing visibility to less than 50 metres. The airport in Changsha city in Hunan province remained shut for over three hours, the Global Times reported.
Road traffic was also affected, adding woes to millions of workers returning to work after the week-long Chinese Lunar New Year holidays. The New Year was celebrated Jan 23.
