Islamabad, April 2 (IANS) A former Pakistani minister’s son gunned down a 15-year-old boy in Lahore after a minor road accident, police said on Thursday.
According to police officials, Mustafa Kanju also injured a passerby when he and his three guards opened fire following a minor road accident involving his vehicle and a motorcycle at Cavalry Ground in Lahore Cantonment, Geo News reported.
Mustafa Kanju is son of Pakistan’s former minister of state for foreign affairs Siddique Kanju.
The slain boy was identified as Zain, who, police said, was a student of Class 9. The injured youth is his friend Hasnain.
Police have arrested three guards accompanying Mustafa and ceased their vehicle. However, Mustafa fled from the scene.
Police have lodged an FIR against Mustafa and launched a search to arrest him.
Meanwhile, mother of the slain teenager has appealed to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and the chief justice of Pakistan to look into her son’s killing.
