London, Sep 30 (IANS) Mussa Ibrahim, the spokesman of ousted Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, has been captured while trying to flee dressed as a woman, a media report said Friday.

Ibrahim, 37, was captured Thursday night outside Gaddafi’s hometown Sirte, The Sun reported.

Local TV reports said he had mixed with a group of villagers fleeing the town. Ibrahim was dressed as a woman and driving when rebel troops surrounded him.

Ibrahim was the public face of the Gaddafi regime until rebel fighters took over Tripoli in August.

The former spokesman studied politics at the Exeter University in Britain.

The whereabouts of Gaddafi are still not known.
