Mexico, Oct 18 (EFE) Four members of a Mexican gang suspected of robbing 13 branches of the same bank have been arrested, authorities said.

Veronica Rocha Rodriguez was arrested in the municipality of Ixtlahuaca in Mexico state, 113 km west of the Mexican capital, Mexico City prosecutor’s office, or PGJDF, deputy prosecutor Luis Genaro Vasquez told a press conference Friday.

Edgar Christy Camacho, Rene Flores Fernandez and Javier Islas Santiago were previously arrested on charges of aggravated robbery, criminal association and attempted homicide.

The three male suspects were sent to the Eastern Preventive Confinement jail and the woman to the Santa Martha Acatitla Penitentiary to await the results of their trial.

The four are accused of robbing 13 branch offices of the National Savings and Financial Services Bank (Bansefi), a division of the state development bank, in the districts of Gustavo A. Madero (4), Benito Juarez (2), Tlalpan (2), Coyoacan (1) and Azcapotzalco (1), as well as three in the capital’s metropolitan area.
