Dakar, Jan 10 (IANS) Frenchman Alain Giresse has been appointed the national coach of the Senagal, it was announced by Senegalese football federation president Augustin Senghor.

The Frenchman Wednesday signed a two-year deal which will take him through the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and the 2015 African Cup of Nations in Morocco, reports Xinhua.
The former coach of Senegal, Joseph Koto, was fired in October due to the team’s poor results.
