London, Sep 1 (IANS) Actor Kelsey Grammer doesn’t believe in the concept of employing a nanny, and prefers to change diapers for his one-month-old daughter Faith himself.
The former “Frasier” star says he and his British wife Kayte are not “nanny” people and he has become adept at keeping their newborn clean and fresh, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“We don’t have nannies, so I do a lot of nappy changing, which I’m quite good at now,” said Grammer.
“I also do quite a bit of cleaning up around the house, just because I prefer it that way. I don’t like a mess. I like a tidy house, the things in the right place and the laundry to be done. I’m a slave to my home in fact,” he added.
Grammer is a father of five, and married Kayte, a former flight attendant who he met while on her plane, after three previous marriages.
She feels he is different from his partners, adding: “Kayte is very different from anyone I have ever been involved with, partly because she’s English, I mean British – I’m still learning how not to offend anyone here.
“The big thing that I found initially interesting about her was that there was a sort of worldliness that she had that I wasn’t accustomed to, having married only American girls before.”
He was earlier married to dance instructor Doreen Alderman, followed by a wedding to stripper Leigh-Anne Csuhany and later, he married former Playboy model Camille Donatacci.
