Dubai, Dec 29 (IANS/WAM) The Gulf News daily has been named the best English online newspaper at the Forbes Middle East’s Top Media Online in the Arab World Awards.
The award was presented to Gulf News editor-in-chief Abdul Hamid Ahmad.
The award was given after a survey based on specific calculations of the 2011 online statistics.
The paper said that over the research period, 77.11 million visits were recorded for its website.
