Nairobi, April 2 (IANS) Masked gunmen on Thursday attacked a university in central Kenya near the Somalian border, police said.
Witnesses said explosions and heavy gun-firing began in the morning in the Garissa University College, located in the town of the same name, some 150 km from the Somalian border Xinhua reported.
Kenyan security forces have surrounded the compound.
