Port of Prince, April 14 (Inditop.com) Haitians have been facing an acute shortage of petroleum fuel due to the delay in supply of oil to the country.

The government has called an emergency meeting to discuss ways to cope with the lack of gasoline and set a limit on sale of fuel worth $25 to each vehicle.

Most of the gas stations in the capital are running out of fuel. The situation worsened Monday and it is expected to remain unchanged until April 21 when a tanker arrives at the harbour of this city, Prensa Latina reported quoting Haiti Press Network.

National Association of Distributors of Petroleum Products president Randolph Rameau said the delay in the supply is the cause of the lack of fuel.
