New Delhi, Dec 16 (Inditop.com) India and Russia expressed concerns at rising incidents of terrorist attacks in Pakistan during the visit of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to Moscow earlier this month, External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna said Wednesday.
In a statement tabled in Lok Sabha, Krishna said the visit was part of the annual India-Russia summits. The minister said India and Russia had similar views on regional and international matters.
“On the situation in Pakistan, both sides expressed concerns at the rise in the level of terrorist violence,” he said.
Similarly, in Afghanistan, both sides emphasized the importance of not drawing distinction between various types of terrorism.
“The two sides emphasized the importance of continued engagement of the global community and agreed that drawing facile distinctions between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ Taliban could be counterproductive,” said Krishna.
