Jakarta, Feb 10 (Inditop.com/AKI) The trial of two suspects in the suicide bomb attacks on JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotels in July 2009 started in Indonesia Wednesday.
The suspects, Amir Abdillah and Aris Susanto, were accused of harbouring the terrorists who killed seven and wounded more than 50 in the attacks.
Abdillah was a courier for terror group leader Saefudin Zuhri, who allegedly helped rent a safe house in Jatiasih in the West Java town of Bekasi for the group prior to the attacks.
Yani said Abdillah would be charged with carrying out terror attacks, hiding terror suspects and illegal possession of explosives.
Prosecutor Vicky Ahmad Yani said the pair would be tried separately. “We will seek a death sentence for him,” he said.
