Lahore, June 1 (IANS) The terrorist injured in the twin mosque attack, who was sought to be rescued from hospital or killed by armed gunmen in this Pakistan city, was Tuesday shifted to Kot Lakhpat jail under tight security.
He would be treated in by the medical staff of the Jinnah Hospital, Online news agency reported.
Five people, including three policemen and two civilians, were killed when at least four terrorists clad in police uniforms stormed the well-guarded Jinnah Hospital late Monday night in a futile bid to rescue or kill the terrorist, Moaz alias Amir Moavia. He had been injured during the attack on two mosques of the minority Ahmadi community Friday.
According to Salahuddin, the administrative director of the Allama Iqbal Medical College to which the Jinnah Hospital is attached, the attackers entered through a back door.
‘We are trying to obtain CCTV footage of the attack but are facing some difficulties and have contacted the company in Karachi that installed the equipment,’ he told reporters.
