Tehran, Jan 2 (DPA) Iran has shot down two Western drones which violated Iranian airspace in the Gulf, the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary guards air force told Fars news agency Sunday.
General Amir-Ali Hajizadeh gave no further details on exactly where and when the spy drones were downed.
Hajizadeh said that the Iranian forces were prepared to confront all navy and air force threats by the US.
Due to feared air strikes against Iran’s nuclear sites, the revolutionary guards have been on high alert along its border areas.
