Tehran, April 29 (Inditop) The report about a missile attack by the US or Israel against an Iranian navy ship is false, an official said Tuesday.
“The report published in certain section of the media was part of a psychological warfare against Iran and is completely baseless,” IRNA reported citing an unnamed Iranian defence official.
Media reports said earlier that an Iranian navy vessel sank in the Red Sea near Sudan after it was allegedly targeted by “Israeli or American missiles”.
Iran has dispatched navy vessels to the Red Sea region to fight piracy off the coast of Somalia.
