Tehran, April 8 (Inditop) An Iranian parliamentary commission is currently reviewing a US proposal for restoring ties with Tehran, IRNA reported Wednesday.
National Security and Foreign Policy Commission member Mohammad Karami-Rad said the commission will examine different aspects of the US-Iran relationship before giving its nod.
Karami-Rad said the commission would only decide when the US stops interfering in Iran’s internal affairs and apologise for shooting down an Iranian passenger plane over the Persian Gulf in 1988.
He said removal of the US sanctions on Iran and unfreezing of Iranian assets in the US were other conditions set by Tehran for initiating talks with Washington.
He added that Iran will act according to the degree of the goodwill it sees on the part of the US politicians.
