Tehran, Jan 18 (DPA) Iran plans to review diplomatic ties with Britain, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said on state television Monday.
Mottaki said Tehran would soon make a final decision in line with its national interests on the nature of its relations with London.
Besides differences over Iran’s nuclear programmes, Tehran accuses Britain of being involved in protests against President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad since his contested June re-election and interfering in the country’s internal affairs.
The Iranian parliament last week presented a draft bill to sever diplomatic ties with Britain, which is the first to be evaluated by the parliament’s foreign policy commission.
