London, July 31 (IANS) A former policeman who murdered his detective lover has been found hanging in a prison cell in Britain. He was on a suicide watch, The Sun reported.

Peter Foster, 36, had killed Det Con Heather Cooper, 33, at the couple’s home in Haslemere, Surrey last October in front of their two children.
On Monday, his body was found during a 3 a.m. check by prison officers Monday. Ex-detective constable Foster is the third inmate in less than a month to commit suicide at Lewes jail, East Sussex, The Sun reported.
Prison Service chiefs are scheduled to probe if the deaths are linked.
Foster was given 17 years after he dumped Cooper’s body in the woods.
