New York, Feb 3 (IANS) Actor James Corden, who won a Tony Award for his Broadway turn in “One Man, Two Guvnors”, will host the 70th annual Tony Awards in June.

Corden also hosts the late night television talk show “The Late Late Show with James Corden” on CBS. The American broadcast television and radio network has broadcast the Tony ceremony for years.
As the Tony host, Corden will follow in the footsteps of last year’s co-hosts Alan Cumming and Kristin Chenoweth, reports variety.com.
With “Hamilton” the musical to beat among a pack of potential award contenders, the 2016 Tony Awards, presented by the Broadway League and the American Theater Wing, are set for June 12 at the Beacon Theater in New York.
Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner, who have won multiple Emmy Awards for their work on the Tonys, will return once again as executive producers.
Tony nominations are due to be announced on May 3.
