Eugene (US), May 31 (IANS) American sprinter Justin Gatlin equalled his personal best in the 200m at the Diamond League event here with a world-leading 2015 time of 19.68 seconds.

The 33-year-old American, who has served two drug bans, is already the quickest man over 100m this year, clocking a 9.74 earlier this month, reports bbc.com.
His previous career-best 200m had come in Monaco in July last year.
Meanwhile, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Murielle Ahoure ran the joint-fastest women’s 100m time of the season.
Jamaican Fraser-Pryce and Ahoure of the US both clocked 10.81 seconds in Eugene, Oregon.
Gatlin made an impressive start to the outdoor campaign, with his 200m time on Saturday eclipsing world record holder Usain Bolt’s season’s best of 20.13 seconds — posted in the Czech Republic earlier this week.
American Tyson Gay won the men’s 100m in a time of 9.88 seconds ahead of countryman Mike Rodgers and China’s Su Bingtian, with Britain’s James Dasalou sixth in 10.13 seconds.
