London, March 29 (IANS) Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli was given a severe dressing down by manager Roberto Mancini after a training ground bust-up.
The Italian striker provoked an angry reaction from his boss Wednesday after gate-crashing his former team Inter Milan’s press conference Tuesday.
Mancini ordered the 21-year-old to train alone after letting his feelings known in front of the entire City squad.
Balotelli was also fined 120,000 pounds earlier in the month for breaking curfew. He was seen outside a strip club in Liverpool just 36 hours prior to City’s match against Bolton.
The Italian Tuesday surprised everyone when he interrupted the unveiling of new Inter Milan manager Andrea Stramaccioni. He shook hands with some Inter staff, wished the new manager and exited the press briefing.
“He came to say hello to everybody at the training centre then left,” Inter CEO Ernesto Paolillo was quoted as saying by Daily Mail.
“We did not know he was coming but it’s not the first time. It’s typical of Mario. I see him sometimes when he comes to Milan.”
