Los Angeles, Aug 30 (IANS) Fashion designer Michael Kors will be honoured with the Couture Council Award for Artistry of Fashion for his contribution to the industry. Actress Hilary Swank will present the award.
The “Million Dollar Baby” star will honour the 54-year-old designer Sep 4 at a benefit luncheon at the David H. Koch Theater in the Lincoln Center, New York City, reports contactmusic.com.
A string of noble guests will be present during the ceremony, including designer Reem Acra, models Iman Abdulmajid and Patti Hansen, American investor Julie Macklowe and American business magnate and TV personality Martha Stewart.
“Unlike so many other fashion events, our room is filled with women who buy, not borrow dresses,” said Couture Council chairman Yaz Hernandez.
