Madrid, Nov 1 (IANS) After Real Madrid president Florentino Perez said on Spanish television last month that Radamel Falcao was “keen to come to Madrid”, Vadim Vasilyev, the Monaco vice-president said they had no intention of letting the Colombian leave.

“Falcao signed a five-year contract and, if I have to say it a hundred times I will say, there is no clause allowing him to leave,” said Vasilyev, who added that he felt it was “inappropriate” for a director of another club to talk about a player who was under contract at Monaco.
Falcao, current Ligue 1’s leading scorer with eight goals, has just stayed in Monaco for less than six months after transferring from Atletico Madrid with a reported 60 million euros, reports Xinhua.
“We made a big effort to bring him here and it makes no sense for him to leave, either in the winter, the summer or whenever,” Vasilyev said.
Reports at the beginning of October said that the 27-year-old Falcao had ruled out leaving Monaco during transfer window in January.
