Kabul, March 7 (IANS) At least five Afghan civilians were killed and nine others wounded Friday in an explosion in Afghanistan’s southern province of Helmand, said a provincial government spokesman.
“The villagers were holding a picnic in Camp area of Marjah district. A bomb attached to a motorcycle was detonated, leaving five civilians dead and nine others wounded,” spokesman Omar Zwak told Xinhua.
The injured were shifted to a hospital where four of them remained in critical condition, the official said.
