Beijing, Aug 30 (IANS) People will have to register personal information when buying cold medicine in some parts of China, China Daily reported Thursday.
The new rules will take effect in Zhejiang province from Sep 10.
The public security authority has told drug makers and wholesalers to keep client documents when trading in medicines that contain ephedrine, which is used in illegal drugs.
Retailers also are required to register customers’ name, address, time of purchase and amount purchased.
