Madrid, Aug 20 (DPA) A bank robber netted only about 10 euros ($14) after his nerves betrayed him during the robbery, Spanish press reports said Thursday.

The man, wearing a cap and sunglasses, entered a Madrid bank Wednesday morning, before any clients had shown up.

He pointed a gun at a clerk and ordered him to give him money, the daily El Mundo reported.

But on realising that there were more employees in the bank, the robber became so nervous that he only grabbed the small sum that was in the cash till, and fled.

Police were investigating the incident.
